Gujarat Chief Minister Nitin Patel has decided to provide Narmada Nir to the people of Gujarat by June 30 so that Gujarat's pastoralists and farmers do not face water scarcity in summer. For this Narmada Canal, Fatewadi Canal, Sujalam Sufalam Network, Kharikat Canal and Sauni Project Network will be used.

Announcing that the water supply will continue through the canal network till June 30, he said that as on May 13, the lifeline of Gujarat, Narmada, is at 123.38 meters.

Timely planning for proper use of Narmada water
This water will be used to provide drinking water to the citizens of the state in summer and to farmers for farming. Timely planning has been done to ensure proper use of water. In other words, it is planned that each area will get supply within a fixed period.
