A total of 16 CCTV cameras on both sides of the road every 5 km will control traffic and safety from Adalaj and Sola police stations.
After a total of 10 flyovers, it will take only 30 minutes to cover the distance from Ujala Circle (Ahmedabad) to Chiloda (Gandhinagar).

While the traffic problem is the biggest challenge to progress, the renovation work of 44 km of road from Chiloda, the busiest and busiest round of Gujarat to Ujala Circle (Sarkhej) is in full swing. The main objective of this ambitious project of the state government is to ensure smooth passage of vehicles without any hindrance, alleviate the problem of traffic jams and maintain safety. Interestingly, technology is being used extensively for all these purposes. Due to heavy traffic, it currently takes 1 hour to reach Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad and even more during peak hours. After a total of 11 flyovers and underpasses, this time will be reduced to 30 to 35 minutes. The success of this project will be extended to other highways including Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway in the coming days.
1 million vehicles shuttled dhamadhamata
according to the state road and building department officials say hi, Sarkhej most consistently busy and thriving throughout the state road 44 kilometers long way from the nearest Ujala Circle in Gandhinagar near Chiloda. More than 1 lakh vehicles ply here 24 hours a day, including heavy vehicles ranging from two wheelers, passenger cars to trucks and buses. Known all over Gujarat as Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway, this road is being upgraded and upgraded from Ujala Circle to Chiloda. In addition to widening the road, technology is being used at every level, including flyovers, underpasses and traffic control.
16 CCTV will keep an eye on 44 km For
the first time in Gujarat, this highway will be equipped with smart traffic control system. For this, a total of 16 CCTV cameras with 8-8 high range, high resolution zooming feature will be placed on the left-right side of the road every 5 km, the direct connection of which will be handed over to the team on special duty at the police station. Monitoring of the area within the limits of Gandhinagar will be covered under Adalaj Police Station and monitoring of roads within the limits of Ahmedabad will be covered under Sola Police Station. Communication between the two police stations will also be made fast and high-tech. So that the road can be cleared by bringing immediate solution in case of traffic jam or accident.
The
biggest feature of Sarkhej-Gandhinagar road, the only longest toll free road in the country, will be that it will be completely toll free despite being sophisticated. Generally, toll tax is mandatory on every national highway as per the National Highways Act, 1956. Earlier, a toll tax was also proposed near Adalaj near Narmada Canal. But the road was made toll-free after a presentation to the state government's Road and Transport Ministry. For this road Rs. 867 crore is to be spent, out of which 434 crore will be provided by the state government. This road has been made toll free as the contribution of the state government in road construction is high.

3 out of 10 overbridges are ready, 7 are operational in
Ahmedabad, i.e. a total of 10 overbridges are to be completed from Ujala to Chiloda. Out of which 3 overbridges of the most important part have been completed and are operational. Currently, Gota Bridge, Gurudwara Underpass and ISKCON flyover are working on SG Hawaii. Apart from that 7 more overbridges have started operation. A total of 10 overbridges coming from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad are being constructed as follows.

Time, fuel will be saved, pollution and accidents will be
reduced. Due to the current traffic , the distance between Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar is reduced to 1 hour. Therther traffic jams occur during peak hours. Once the Ujala-Chiloda road is fully operational, this distance can be covered in 30 to 35 minutes. Due to flyovers and underpasses will have to stand at least at the traffic signal. This will save time and fuel as well as reduce pollution and accidents. The road has a speed limit of 80 kmph for four wheelers as per the Motor Wheeler Act.

Work on the flyover beyond Vaishnodevi is in full swing. All flyovers will be operational by next July.
The project will be completed by July. The
state government had announced to develop the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway as well as the Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway as a six-lane road. For which the operation started from November 2018, which is currently approximately 65 percent complete. Among the two important projects prepared by the Road and Building Department of the State Government, the work of Sarkhej-Ahmedabad is targeted to be completed by July while the work of Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway is targeted to be completed by next March-2022.
The road and building department of the state government is now working on two important projects instead of 2 on Ahmedabad-Rajkot . There were 2 toll taxes on the road from Ujala to Rajkot for a total distance of 200 km. However, now that the four-lane road is being replaced by a six-lane road, there will be 4 toll taxes. However, since the acquisition by the state government, the policy of the state government will be toll free for two wheelers and four wheelers, which will be a great relief to the people of the state. Earlier two tolls were functioning in Bagodra and Bamanbor, which will now be replaced by 4 tolls.

S.G. Work is underway to make Ahmedabad-Rajkot road fast and high-tech on the lines of high-way.
The
state government is also upgrading the Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway on the lines of Sarkhej-Gandhinagar road. Rs. For these 6 lane roads being constructed at a cost of Rs. 1900 crore, the state government has allocated Rs. 700 crore. A total of 45 bridges are to be completed on this road. Due to which the time to reach Rajkot from Ahmedabad will be reduced from about 4 hours to 3 hours. Instead of the existing 2 toll booths on this road, a total of 4 toll booths will be operational with 2 new ones.
