This has led to the possibility that many expensive, branded and luxury items such as carpets, chandeliers, TVs, audio systems, home theaters, kitchen appliances will be sold at very cheap prices in the Alang market.

શિપ રી-સાઈક્લિંગ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રીઝ એસોસિયેશન ઓફ ઇન્ડિયાના સેક્રેટરી હરેશ પરમારે જણાવ્યું હતું કે આવું પહેલીવાર થશે કે આટલા મોટા પ્રમાણમાં ક્રૂઝ શિપ ભંગાણ માટે અલંગમાં આવી રહી છે. સામાન્ય રીતે એક કે બે ક્રૂઝ ભંગાણ માટે આવતી હતી, તેની સામે ચાલુ નાણાકીય વર્ષમાં 8 જેટલી વધુ શિપ આવવાની સંભાવના છે. આમાંથી પાંચ ક્રૂઝ તો ઓલરેડી આવી ચૂકી છે. આનું કારણ જણાવતાં પરમારે કહ્યું હતું કે કોરોનાને કારણે સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં ટૂરિઝમ સેક્ટરની હાલત ખરાબ છે. અનેક ટૂરિસ્ટ ડેસ્ટિનેશન ખાલી પડ્યાં છે. આને કારણે ક્રૂઝનો બિઝનેસ ડાઉન છે. અમેરિકા અને યુરોપમાં પેસેન્જર લાઈન્સ નકામી પડી છે અને ક્રૂઝ ઓપરેટર્સ નાદારી નોંધાવી રહ્યા છે. એને કારણે ત્યાંની બેંકો બહોળા પ્રમાણમાં આવી ક્રૂઝનું ઓક્શન કરી રહી છે અને ભારત એના સારા ભાવ આપે છે.
