 When 90-year-old Maakka wrote her first examination at her hamlet in Wayanad recently, little did she know that she was becoming part of a” literacy programme that may bring revolutionary changes in the life of tribals in Kerala.

The nonagenarian, a native of Ambalakkunnu settlement at Muppainad, was one among over 4,500 neo-literates who had written the literacy exam, organized by the Kerala State Literacy Mission Authority, in Wayanad district earlier this week.

While Maakka was the oldest among the tribals who had appeared for the exam, Lakshmi, a 16-year-old girl from
Charalkkunnu settlement was the youngest to be part of the test conducted in three modules — reading, writing, and mathematics. Held in 283 hamlets of Wayanad on April 22, the exam was part of a special literacy drive by the Mission to eradicate illiteracy from tribal hamlets of the state and bring the backward group to the mainstream of society.

Authorities said those who clear the ‘100-mark examination’ can appear for the ‘class four equivalency programme’, organized by the Mission. Literacy Mission Director P S Sreekala said, of the 4,516 persons who appeared for the exam, 3,598 were women. A three-month training programme was held in the hamlets for the drive and two instructors were appointed in each hamlet to train the neo-literates.

“The literacy programme at tribal hamlets has helped not only to identify the illiterates and bring them under the
literacy programme, but also to help to bring changes in their social life,” she told PTI.

The drive had helped reduce the school drop out rate among tribal children, Sreekala said.

“When elders were given education as part of our drive, they began to send their children also to schools. It also has helped reduce the drug menace in the region and brought changes in their dressing style,” she said. As part of the Mission’s literacy drive, study tours, a gathering of artists and classes of experts were held at the
hamlets during the period of the programme.

The special literacy drive had begun in Wayanad, an abode of 1,52,808 tribals, in September last year. The district’s total literacy rate was 89.03 percent. It was 71 percent among tribals, Mission officials said. The literacy drive was launched in Wayanad after its successful implementation in Palakkad district, which also comprised a large number of tribals.

Telangana State Board of School Education would be releasing the TS SSC results 2018 today on the official website bse.telangana.gov.in. Latest update from the board confirms that the results would be released today evening on the official result website results.cgg.gov.in at 7 pm today. Students can also check their TS Class 10 Results on alternative sites like manabadi.com, examresults.net. The results, however, would first be announced on bse.telangana.gov.in. About 5.38 lakh candidates have appeared in the examinations that were conducted in the month of March 2018. As per Hans India, the results would be announced today, April 27, 2018, by Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari will announce the TS SSC results at the State Secretariat tomorrow. *Advertiser के Conformation के बाद ही Champcash द्वारा Payment दी जाती है ।*


Advertiser द्वारा जब यह track हो जाता है कि हमारा installation, champcash के जरिए,उनके requirement के हिसाब से हुआ है..तब वो उस installation के बारे मे conformation देते हैं ।


Advertisers अपने apps को Champcash के अलावा दुसरे जगहों  (playstore etc) से भी promote कराते हैं  .... इसलिए  हमें ये निश्चित कराना होगा कि.. Champcash मे हमारा installation, Advertiser के requirement को पुरा करे और Advertiser track कर पाए और Conformation दे ।


अगर कोई Bluetooth/Shareit/Xender etc के द्वारा या सिधे Playstore से  Challenge के apps को install करता है ... तो वो installation, advertiser के द्वारा track ना हो पाने के कारण Conformation नहीं देता ।


Challenge मे app install करते समय सभी instructions को सही से follow करना होता है ..जैसे.. app को 2 minute open करना और कुछ apps मे registration करना जरूरी होता है । अगर ये नहीं किया गया तो advertiser का जो

requirement था वो पुरा नहीं होता और वो उस installation का conformation नहीं देता ।


App install के बाद 2-3 minute open/registration सब कर लेने के बाद ... Home Button से minimize करना चाहिए... फिर champcash open करके दुसरा app install करना चाहिए । अगर गलती से भी Back Button का प्रयोग कर लिया गया तो वो  track नहीं हो पाता और Advertiser उस installation का Conformation नहीं देता ।



Challenge मे आए सभी apps  मे से अगर 2 या 3 apps पहले से phone मे है या पहले कभी था और uninstall कर दिए हैं..तो वो apps के installation का  confirmation नहीं आएगा... कारण...हरेक  Advertiser को नया User चाहिए... कोई भी app हम किसी भी source से कभी भी install करते हैं तो.... हम उस app के user हो गए और वो app company हमारे installation को track कर लेता है । पुराने User होने के कारण वो सभी apps के installation का Conformation नहीं आएगा ।


कोई app install करते समय अगर phone आ जाए या whatsapp, Facebook, sms etc का use करने लगे.. तो वो installation, track नहीं हो पाता और उसका conformation नहीं आता ।

*एक IP address मे एक ही joining होना चाहिए ।

एक IP address मे एक से ज्यादा joining (multiple joining) होने पर ... वो सभी installation को Advertiser, fake समझ कर conformation नहीं देता ।

अगर Wi-Fi से Joining करा रहे हैं तो ... एक joining के बाद Wi-Fi को off/on करें ... जिससे IP address change हो जाए ।


अगर आप अपने phone के hot spot से किसी को join करा रहे हैं तो पहले अपने phone का flight mode on/off करें ... फिर hot spot से join कराएं ।


apps install करते समय UC Browser का use ना करें । UC Browser खुद का अलग IP address create कर देता है...इसलिए tracking नहीं हो पाता । वैसे challenge के apps automatically Playstore पर redirect हो जाता है ।

Students must have read in history books that Vasco Da Gama came to India in 1498, Bhagat said.
 

"Questions came in examinations, we answered and got marks. But then what? It was never taught in schools how Vasco Da Gama established links with the local people in that age of zero network connectivity," he said.
 

"Nor did we try to know as we were just happy to get those 2 marks for the answer that Vasco Da Gama had arrived in India in 1498," he said.
 

The author, also a motivational speaker, said he believes that hard work can take people to places.
 

If the students want success, they should realise that their approach to life should be "Each pain I weather will pave my path (for success)," he said.

 Bhagat told the audience, "If you really want to be successful, don't think life is without struggle."

Bhagat, who has also penned scripts for several bollywood films, said, "Just think about Salman Khan who does two hour workout daily to look and stay fit. Considering that he can take it easy after attaining so much success and fame, it is inspiring to see how he struggles and works hard."

The writer of several paperbacks including 'One Night at the Call Centre' called upon the young generation to study, work and then have fun at spare time.

An IIT-Delhi and IIM-Ahmedabad alumnus, Bhagat had a high-profile banking job for 11 years. He quit his investment banking career in 2009, to focus on writing.

CBSC Class 12 English Paper: 7 Tips From Board Examiner To Help You Easily Score Over 90

BSE Boards 2018 is just around the corner and the English Core paper is scheduled to be held on March 5. English in class 12 is a breather exam compared to the humungous syllabus in almost all other subjects for each stream. This is why many students completely ignore this paper, leaving it for the last moment.

Now, if you are good in basic grammar and don't have any proper in understanding the concept while reading through the texts, then scoring good marks in the Class 12 English paper will not be an insurmountable task.

However, if you want to score above 90, you will need to make sure you are not making the common mistake most students make which can make your aggregate percentage drop even after scoring well on PCM (if you are from Science stream).

India Today Education spoke to senior English teacher Suvalakshmi Bhattacharya, with 23 years of teaching experience and 21 years of experience as Board Examiner, about a few tips and tricks that students should definitely know to maximize their marks.

HERE ARE A FEW CRUCIAL TIPS FROM THE BOARD EXAMINER THAT WILL HELP YOU SCORE OVER 90 IN YOUR ENGLISH PAPER:

Plan before leaving home which section (A/B/C) you are going to attempt first in the exam and how much time you will allow to each section.

Do not exceed the word limit. Unnecessarily long answers will NOT FETCH you more marks. On the other hand, it will cut into your limited time.

Underline the value points - important words and phrases - while writing the answer itself as you might not have time later on to go back and read through line by line again.

Do not leave out any question. If you are not sure of the answer, leave some space according to the allotted marks and come back to it later on. Do NOT leave it out.

For section B Writing section, the following points must be noted: (a) Formats must be followed as prescribed by CBSE (b) Break your text into paragraphs wherever needed - in letters, articles, reports, debates and speeches (c) Select the question to answer wisely when you have options in a question (d) Be careful when you are writing the dates in letters (e) In Note Making, the title, subheadings and the abbreviations must be written properly to score marks (f) You need a minimum of four abbreviations in Note Making, for which 1 mark is allotted, but don't write a full page of abbreviations

For section C Literature section, the following points must be noted: (a) Each 3-mark question must have at least two value points (b) Each 6-mark question must have at least four value points (c) 'The Invisible Man' MUST be prepared and will have two questions based on it -- one character based question and one plot-based question

Aim to complete your paper in 2 hours 45 minutes so that you have 15 minutes to revise your answers.
