Department of Telecom has released a new notification for SIM card users. You may be using one or two SIM cards, but do you know how many SIMs are registered with your Aadhaar card? Let's take a closer look.
Launch of new portal
The government has created a portal to get information about how many SIM cards i.e. how many mobile numbers are active on your Aadhaar card. One is named Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP). Based on this portal, users can check all the mobile numbers linked to their Aadhaar number.

Most of the times you don't know how many SIMs are working in your Aadhaar card. Then sometimes unknown persons do wrong by taking SIM from someone's ID. As a result, the problem increases for the person in whose name the SIM is. Then block the wrongly taken SIM from your Aadhaar immediately. Also, if you are not using any SIM card and want to remove it from your Aadhaar card, you can do so easily.

How to check
First open tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in portal.
Log-in with mobile number and OTP in the box here.
You will see a list of all mobile numbers from your Aadhaar card to active SIM card.
If there is any number in this list, which is beyond your knowledge, you can report it.
For that, select the number and select 'This is not my number'.
Submit the name written in the Aadhaar card given in the above box.
Now click on the Report box given below.
A ticket ID reference number will also be provided after filing the complaint.

Department of Telecom has developed TAFCOP (Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection) portal. Database of active mobile numbers in the country is uploaded on tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in portal. Spam and fraud calls can be controlled through the portal. You can know how many SIM cards are active in your name in just 30 seconds.
