Vallabhbhai Patel, chairman of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation AMTS committee, told DivyaBhaskar that the historic buildings around the Lal Darwaza bus stand had delayed other processes from Delhi, including approval from the Archaeological Department. The work of constructing the bus stand with Heritage Look will start and will be completed in one year i.e. by the end of the year 2022 for Ahmedabadis.

In the year 2018, Shreeji Construction demolished the main building and platform on platform No. 0 at Laldarwaja bus stand. The then Municipal Commissioner said that the Laldarwaja terminus would be developed on PPE basis only if the Ranip Multimodal Hub project was successful.
As the Ranip Multimodal Hub project has not yet met with any success and given the economic situation in Corona, the present Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar had given permission to complete the work on the heritage theme within the timeframe granted by the National Monuments Authority.

The seats in the new buses were shiny and comfortable. All routes started from the red gate (elite) and the railway station. With the exception of a few minor changes, all the routes and route numbers introduced by the Morris Company were almost identical, so that passengers did not face any problems at that time.
