The schedule of the Indian team's tour of Sri Lanka has been announced. Both teams will play a series of 3 ODIs. The matches will be played on July 13, 16 and 18. This will be followed by a series of 3 T-20 matches on July 21, 23 and 25. National Cricket Academy (NCA) director Rahul Dravid could join the Indian team on a tour of Sri Lanka as captain.
Players who have been selected for the England tour in both these series will not be taking part, as the Indian team will take part in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand on June 18, for which the main team will be under tight bio-bubble in England. After the WTC final, the same team of Indian players will also start training for a series of 5 Test matches against England.

Earlier, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said, "We have planned a white ball series for the senior men's team in July." The Indian team will play ODIs and T20 matches in Sri Lanka. We are going to select a separate team for both these series, in which head head coach Ravi Shastri and the team will tour England.
