जूनागढ़, उपलेटा और आसपास के क्षेत्र में सोमवार की रात आसमान में दिखाई देने वाली रहस्यमय रोशनी ने लोगों को उत्साहित किया और यहां तक कि हैरान भी कर दिया, जिससे यह संदेह पैदा हो गया कि क्या यह अज्ञात उड़ने वाली वस्तु है। छह से सात चमकती रोशनी के वीडियो और तस्वीरें कुछ ही समय में वायरल हो गईं। जूनागढ़ पुलिस कंट्रोल रूम के कांस्टेबल मेहुल परमार के अनुसार, “रात 9.30 से 9.45 बजे के बीच, हमने जूनागढ़ के आसमान में कुछ रोशनी देखी। ऊंची उड़ान भर रहा था। हालांकि अंधेरे और ऊंचाई के कारण रोशनी के पीछे की वस्तु का पता नहीं लगाया जा सका, लेकिन लोगों को लगा कि यह वक्रता वाली वस्तु है, शायद डिस्क जैसी कोई चीज। उपलेटा थाने के डीएसओ डी ए करपड़ा ने बताया कि उप्लेटा में भी एक छोटा धमाका सुना गया, जब आसमान में रोशनी दिखाई दी. “जामनगर हवाई अड्डा दूर नहीं है, इसलिए संभावना है कि एक लड़ाकू जेट उड़ान भर रहा था। पुलिस को जमीन पर ऐसी कोई संदिग्ध वस्तु नहीं मिली है जो उड़ने वाली वस्तु से गिरी हो।
