Politics is a game that can be played on any issue. The lion is an issue in the film 'Sherni' and the whole film shows how politics is done on it. Vidya Balan's character is very sharp, but her character is like the good people in the real world, who are surrounded by many bad people. In short the character of Vidya is not shown extra ordinary, as it was necessary to keep the truth in the story of the film.
Director Amit V Musarkar had earlier made 'Newton'. The film also saw a government employee fighting against the jungle, government offices and corrupt people. Like 'Newton', 'Sherney' satirizes some of the bitter and bad things of society. The decision to make such a film is commendable in itself.
The story of the film revolves around forest officer Vidya Balan. He tracks a lioness. This lion has killed many villagers. There are some good and some bad people working with him. Vidya is trying to catch the lion and release it in the national park. However, some want to kill this lioness. So some are playing a political game about this. In the end, the film is based on whether Vidya Balan succeeds in her endeavor.
Apart from Vidya Balan, the film also stars Brijendra Kala, Neeraj Kabi, Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raz, Ila Arun, Mukul Chadha. You have all played your role very well. When Vidya is seen on the screen, there is a positive feeling. If you are a nature lover then you will love the jungle visuals shown in the film.
