Former Indian legend sprinter Milkha Singh has died due to corona. He was 91 years old. His wife Nirmal Kaur passed away 5 days ago due to post covid complications. Milkha Singh was undergoing treatment at PGIMER in Chandigarh.

Nirmal Kaur was the captain of the Indian volleyball team.
Nirmal Kaur died due to post covid complications. He was 85 years old. Nirmal had been the captain of the Indian women's volleyball team. She also held the post of Sports Director (for women) in the Punjab Government. A statement from Milkha Singh's family said that Nirmal Kaur passed away on June 13 at 4 pm. Milkha Singh could not attend his wife's funeral as he was admitted to the ICU.

Pakistan Milkha Singh was born on 20 November 1929 in a Sikh family in Govindpura (Pakistan). After joining the army and joining the cross country race, Milkha Singh came sixth out of more than 400 soldiers.
Milkha won India's first gold medal in the track and field event at the 1958 Commonwealth Games. No one could break this record for 56 years after that.
