Formal start of monsoon:
Rainwater flooded under Ellisbridge on the riverfront
CTM, Vastral, Ramol, Ghodasar, Nicole, Bapunagar, Amraiwadi, Odhav, Jashodanagar.
Mahisagar, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana and other districts received 1 to 4 inches of rain.
With the onset of monsoon in the state, there has been a general downpour. Most parts of the state have received light to moderate rainfall over the last two-three days. It is currently raining heavily in many parts of east and west of Ahmedabad. Hatkeshwar, CTM, Vastral, Ramol, Ghodasar, Nicol, Bapunagar, Amraiwadi, Odhav, Jashodanagar, Vatva, Narol of the city are receiving light rains. In the last 24 hours, 125 talukas received normal to heavy rainfall yesterday, with the highest rainfall of 3.4 inches being recorded in Umarpada taluka of Surat. After that Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Mahisagar, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana and other districts received 1 to 4 inches of rain. The meteorological department has forecast normal to heavy rains in most districts of the state for two days.
The biker was caught in the turbulent flow of the river Siddhpur, putting his life in danger and made several attempts to save the bike from tension.
Queues of vehicles have formed due to rain on CTM road from Khokhra. The road in front of CTM's Kushabhau Thackeray Hall is flooded by one to two feet. At the same time, water has returned to many societies near the canal. The Punitnagar railway gate is also flooded with rain water.

Temperatures in most cities of the state were recorded below 36 degrees
The cyclonic circulation caused light to heavy rains in various parts of the state, including Ahmedabad, yesterday. Heavy rains lashed Ahmedabad around 12.30 pm after early morning cloudy weather, followed by drizzle during the day. Ahmedabad had a maximum of 31.4 degrees Celsius, 6.4 degrees below normal, and a minimum of 25.1 degrees Celsius, down 2.3 degrees. The cyclonic circulation caused light to moderate rains in different parts of North, Central and South Gujarat in the state amid blue skies, causing temperatures in most cities of the state to drop below 36 degrees.
Fishermen instructed not to plow the sea The
monsoon has begun. Today, the meteorological department has warned the fishermen of South Gujarat not to plow the sea till June 24. Coastal fishermen have also been instructed not to venture into the sea as winds of up to 60 kmph are forecast. Heavy winds in the seas of Mandvi, Diu, Okha and Jakhu can cause waves of 3 to 4 meters high.
Good monsoon forecast
for second year in a row Good monsoon is expected in the state for the second year in a row. As of 8 am on Friday, the state has received an average of 32.83 mm of rainfall so far, averaging 3.91 per cent. Excluding normal rainfall in the Kutch zone alone, the average rainfall is 3.40 per cent in North Gujarat zone, 3.96 per cent in Middle East zone, 3.01 per cent in Saurashtra zone and 4.86 per cent in South Gujarat zone.
