Heavy rains in Mumbai for 3 hours, order to evacuate dilapidated buildings; Severe heat in Punjab-Haryana

After reaching the north-eastern states a day ago, the monsoon is now affecting 30 per cent of Maharashtra, including Mumbai. Pre-monsoon activity has started here. Heavy rains lashed Mumbai for 3 hours on Monday morning. The dilapidated buildings have since been ordered to be evacuated. On the one hand, Kerala, Lakshadweep, the whole of South India and the northeastern states have rainy weather, on the other hand, Punjab and Haryana are experiencing severe heat.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is expected to reach Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh after June 20. Meanwhile, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh received a yellow alert on Tuesday.

strike in Bengal , PM announces compensation of Rs 2 lakh, heavy rains wreak havoc in West Bengal on Monday Twenty-six people were killed in lightning strikes in three districts of the state. Of the dead, 11 were from Hooghly, 9 from Murshidabad, 2 from Bankura and 2 from East Midnapore. Three people were injured in a lightning strike in Murshidabad and are undergoing treatment at Jangipur Hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the victims.

He wrote on social media, "My condolences are with the people who have lost their loved ones in the lightning strikes." Work to speed up the recovery of those injured in these accidents. The PM has announced compensation for the families of the victims. The families of those killed in the accident will be given Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund (PMNRF) and the injured will be given Rs 50,000.

Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief over the death in Bengal due to lightning. He said on social media that it was very sad that so many people were killed in lightning strikes in many areas of West Bengal. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Pray for the wounded to heal quickly.



Madhya Pradesh:
Pre-monsoon is on in many districts of the state, including Indore and Chhindwara . Rains lashed many districts of the states including Bhopal, Indore, Chhindwara, Shajapur, Mandsaur and Sagar on Monday. Bhopal received rains at 7.30 pm on Monday and received 14.5 mm of rainfall in half an hour. Many areas of Indore including Gandhinagar, Airport Road, Kalaninagar and Rajendranagar received 3 inches of rain till late night.



Mercury has not reached above normal in Bhopal for 31 days.
Even in May and June , which was the hottest before the monsoon , Bhopal did not get hot this year. The temperature here was below normal from May 7 to June 7 (31 days). There were clouds during most of the day, sometimes even slow rain. Earlier on May 6, the temperature was recorded at 42.8 degrees, which was 2 degrees above normal. The wind was blowing at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in the city on Monday evening. A mobile tower collapsed on a power line near Shahjahan Park.

There were black clouds in Bhopal on Monday evening and it rained with strong winds in the evening.


Jharkhand: Rain alert in many districts The possibility of rain has been expressed in many districts of Jharkhand. Cloudy weather is expected in Dhanbad on Tuesday morning. It may rain 2-3 mm here. The district has an average temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.1 degrees Celsius.



Punjab: The
state has been experiencing scorching heat on Monday with the possibility of slow rains since June 11 , causing the heat to intensify. The weather department has said that the weather will remain like this for 3 days. Winds of 25 to 30 kmph are expected in many districts from June 8 to 10, while slow rains are expected from June 11 to 13. During this time strong winds will blow. The heat will be relieved as partly cloudy throughout the day.

Haryana: Mercury reaches 43 degrees Celsius The
heat wave in the state is now on the rise. On Monday, the temperature in Sirsa reached 42.9 degrees Celsius, while in Hisar it was 42.5 degrees and in Narnaul 41.8 degrees. Meteorologists say temperatures in the state could rise sharply from June 8 to 11. The maximum temperature is expected to rise by two to four degrees. The first week of June saw 16.5 millimeters of rain, 274 percent more than normal.
