The monitoring unit for covid management, health teams should also be prepared for diseases like dengue, malaria, cold-cough in addition to epidemics.
All health centers and hospitals in hurricane-affected areas, including Covid Centers, should have adequate manpower. All these centers should be fully functional. Manpower shortage should be met from non-affected districts.
Affected areas have adequate power backups in hospitals, labs and vaccine cold chains, oxygen production units and other ancillary medical facilities. In addition, adequate supply of electricity and water should be ensured in these hospitals.
Heavy winds and heavy rains may affect traffic. Collect stock of essential medicines in advance considering emergency. Arrangements should be made for ORS, chlorine tablets, bleaching powder and other medications to treat corona. These measures are required for both Covid and Non-Covid hospitals.
