According to the meteorological department, the monsoon will reach the coast of Kerala in the next two to three days



The monsoon is now awaited after two cyclonic storms Tau-te and Yas passed. The northern border of the monsoon has reached the Comorin Sea (near Kanyakumari). The meteorological department predicts that it will reach the coast of Kerala in the next 2 to 3 days. The monsoon will reach the coast of Kerala on May 31, the secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences said.

The normal arrival date for monsoon in Kerala is June 1, but the meteorological department has forecast that it will arrive on May 31, with the possibility of a four-day plus-minus.

The monsoon has also crossed the Maldives on Thursday. The northern border of the monsoon is about 200 km off the coast of Kerala. Heavy rains have lashed Kerala during and after the Tau-Te storm. Coastal areas of Kerala have been receiving heavy rains since the beginning of this week, but it has been declining since Thursday.

The monsoon is also expected to arrive soon due to Hurricane Yas in the Bay of Bengal, i.e. May 27-29, but now the monsoon is likely to arrive between May 30 and May 1. The meteorological department is constantly monitoring the progress of the monsoon.
