People should use less steroids to control diabetes - experts say
Amidst the outbreak of coronavirus, an outbreak of black fungus has now spread across the country. So far 9,320 cases of black fungus have been reported in 15 states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and UP, out of which 235 people have died. Gujarat has so far faced more than 5,000 cases than any other state in the country. Many patients have also gone blind due to this infection.

So far, black fungus has been declared an epidemic in nine states.
Haryana was the first to declare the disease as an epidemic. Rajasthan has since declared an epidemic of black fungus. The central government, after observing all the conditions, told each of the states that the disease should be notified under the Pandemic Act. Since then, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu have also declared black fungus epidemics.

A 15-year-old boy contracted the disease for the first time in Gujarat . Due to which the doctors operated for 4 hours and saved the child from this fungus. The operation involved removing the baby's palate and teeth. Dr. Abhishek Bansal said that this is the first case of the disease spreading among children.
Experts advise to control diabetes to prevent
black fungus Black fungus disease is now rampant in the country, but the cases are most prevalent in patients suffering from diabetes. In this regard, the director of Delhi AIIMS, Dr. Randeep Guleria and Medanta Hospital Chairman Dr. Naresh gave important information to Treh on Friday.

- Dr. Gularia said patients should take the medication only after consulting a doctor, and should not use excessive steroids. If the steroid is given by a doctor he should also give it in moderate or low doses. If a person has been taking steroids for a long time, he may have a problem with diabetes. Teva is more likely to be infected with black fungus.
- The chairman of Medanta Hospital, Dr. Naren Trehan said that immediate treatment should be given for nasal congestion, sore throat, mouth infection, swollen eyelids, eye pain and low vision and swelling of the face. He said diabetes should be controlled and steroids should be used sparingly.
