The full moon of the month of Vaishakh is celebrated as Buddha Purnima. It is believed that Lord Buddha was born on this day. Which this time is on May 26th. The Global Vipassana Pagoda near Gorai Creek on the Arabian Sea coast in Maharashtra is very special. This pagoda is designed entirely in the shape of a dome. What is special is that there is not a single pillar in this dome.

this hall built in the pagoda, about 8000 people can worship together, which is spread over 61300 square feet. Its dome-shaped roof is 325 feet high and the relics of the Buddha are also kept here.

The place where the relics associated with the Buddha are kept is called a pagoda. In this place you can see a tall statue of Buddha, which is made of a special marble stone. Its shape is inspired by the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar. Construction of the pagoda began in 2000 and lasted until 2008.
