Often due to technical defects in the vehicle it was not possible to know which part of the vehicle was defective as many spare parts of this vehicle were coming from abroad. But now this flaw can be easily detected by the virtual reality system. Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has opened its Virtual Reality Center (VRC). In this, operators will be able to virtually discover the usefulness and availability of the item using digital models from 3D goggles and navigation joysticks.

This will allow the vehicle to be repaired in the right place in less time. This facility will reduce the need for custom tools, service tools designed for servicing prototype vehicles. Research and development (R&D) will help in servicing the vehicles.

Regarding this new service, DICV's MD Satyakam Arya says that DICV has already established Bharat Benz as a leader in the technical field, a brand made for India. With this Virtual Reality Center we strengthen our position by advancing innovation and reducing difficulty.

"This has the potential to make commercial services and R&D bigger, faster and more efficient," he said. We look forward to offering our customers the benefits of affordable, high quality high tech products and services. This promotes benchmark innovation in India's commercial vehicles industry sector.

With less resources, more work will be done.
Before entering the market, each new model should be tested based on how easy it is to service and maintain. The standard process is to build and develop a prototype version of the vehicle and then test how a service technician can find and repair its damaged parts.

It can be modified by VRC from prototyping to virtual modeling and testing. "This will speed up the development process and we will not need more resources to grow our portfolio," says Arya.

Daimler Truck's service center will facilitate communication.
Another advantage of virtual reality is that, apart from the physical model and workspace, it also helps in remote regional locations. DICV is able to share digital models with Daimler truck partners around the world.

Even if the teams are away from each other, in real time they will be able to exchange their opinions and advice with the same model. The VRC features the industry's best 3D projector, power wall, advanced real-time tracking camera, 3D head movement tracker goggles and virtual reality software that help design a vehicle through a navigation joystick.
