Trustee Mahendra Jha: A decision will be taken on the situation of Corona on June 24.
The three chariots will be traditionally worshiped on Friday before the 144th Rathyatra of Lord Jagannathji. The chariot will be worshiped in the presence of Mahant Dilipdasji, Trustee Mahendrabhai Jha and other trustees of the temple. No dignitaries were invited to the chariot pujan and the puja would be performed in the presence of only a small number of people without devotees. Even on June 24, no decision has been taken yet on how to launch the voyage. Devotees are confused as to whether Jagannathji's rathyatra will take place this year as well, when the rathyatra took place in the temple premises last year due to the Corona epidemic.

Last year, the chariot was taken to the gate of the
temple. Talks were held between the government and the temple on the issue of removing the rathyatra till the end due to Corona. The matter was also heard in the High Court. Later it was finally decided to remove Lord Jagannathji's rathyatra in the temple premises. Lord Jagannathji's chariot was ordained and taken to the gate of the temple. The three chariots were then turned into the temple itself and placed for the darshan of the devotees.
