Punjab National Bank has brought Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana to secure your daughter's future. With this plan you can secure the future of your daughters. A minimum of Rs 250 has to be deposited in the amount to be deposited. Apart from that you can deposit up to a maximum of Rs 1,50,000. Opening this account will provide relief to your daughter's studies and future expenses.

How much interest will you get?
Sukanya Samrudhi account is currently paying interest at the rate of 7.6 per cent which is income tax fee.


If you invest Rs 3,000 per month in this scheme, you will get Rs 36,000 per annum, which means you will get Rs 9,11,574 at 7.6 per cent annual compounding after 14 years. At 21 years i.e. maturity this amount will be around Rs. 15,22,221.

this account Under Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana you can open this account at any post office or authorized branch of Commercial Branch.

These documents have to be provided.
To open an account under Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana, you have to submit your daughter's birth certificate at the post office or bank along with the form. Apart from that the identity card of the girl and the parents (pen card, ration card, driving license, passport) and the certificate of where they have lived (passport, ration card, electricity bill, telephone bill, water bill) have to be submitted.

If a minimum of Rs 250 is not deposited every year, the account will be closed and may be revised with a penalty of Rs 50 per annum along with the minimum amount required for that year. Reactivation can take up to 15 years after opening an account.
