Corona's pace in the country is becoming terrifying. 1 lakh 60 thousand 694 new patients were found on Monday. 96,727 recovered and 880 people died. This was the second day in a row that more than 1 lakh 60 thousand new patients were found. A day ago, on Sunday, 1 lakh 59 thousand 914 patients reported positive corona.
About 1.37 crore people in the country have been affected by the epidemic so far, out of which 1.22 crore have recovered. 1 lakh 71 thousand 89 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases, i.e. patients undergoing treatment, has increased by 6 lakh 78 thousand 519 in 12 days of this month. There were 5 lakh 80 thousand 387 active cases on April 1, which has now increased to 12 lakh 58 thousand 906. On Monday, it rose to 62,946.
Corona updates
The impact of the second wave of Corona in the country has reached the Supreme Court. According to sources, many members of the Supreme Court staff have come out positive. As a precaution in such a situation, all hearings in the Supreme Court will now be conducted through video-conferencing. During this period all judges will act from their own residence. In the meantime, various benches of the court will sit one hour late from the scheduled time and hold hearings.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said corona cases have reached a new level in the state. Everyone is requested to leave the house only when necessary. We are constantly raising the bed. We have added 5,000 beds in the last one week, 50% of the beds are still available today, we are still increasing it.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will hold a virtual meeting on April 14 with the governors of all the states on the issue of corona and vaccination.
