Huge vermilion journey in the Corona period
The Sindoor Jatra festival was celebrated on Thursday in Madhyapur Thimi, Nepal. The festival symbolizes the arrival of spring and the Hindu nine years. Celebrated annually, the festival was attended by 30,000 to 35,000 people who celebrated by throwing about two quintals of vermilion and gulal. During the festival, people pulled a royal chariot of 32 gods and goddesses. People were seen dancing to the beat of traditional instruments. On the other hand, the festival, which is celebrated amidst another wave of Corona virus in the world, has raised concerns as people did not follow Corona's guidelines during the procession. No social distance or mask appeared during this time. With this, the local system says that the number of infected people in the country is increasing rapidly. People are not ready to believe despite being persuaded. That is also when there is a shortage of vaccines in Nepal. Nepal had last week requested 1 million doses of the vaccine from India.
