Tax Heaven announces list of 70 identical countries
However, India is not included in this list. This is because companies in India have a high corporate tax rate of 25 to 30 per cent and strict laws against tax evasion and round tripping funding. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has failed to identify and prevent corporate tax evasion enabled by its own rich member countries, the Tax Justice Network said. The OECD has a total of 37 member countries. In it, Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland and their dependents are responsible for 68 per cent of the total corporate tax evasion risk in the world.
The index includes 70 countries
The Corporate Tax Heaven Index covers 70 countries. The ranking is based on their corporate tax haven score. This index shows which countries attract multinational companies aggressively or through zero corporate taxes, loopholes, privacy, etc. and enable them to shield them from other countries' tax provisions.
