Fierce fire at Kovid Hospital in Mumbai
The fire broke out at Kovid Hospital on the third floor of a mall in Mumbai's Bhandup area. Ten people have been killed in the accident. However, 70 patients admitted to the hospital were safely discharged. They have been shifted to another hospital.

Attempts have been made by 22 fire brigades to contain the blaze. The fire was not brought under control even after a 14-hour struggle and relief work is still going on. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has also reached the spot.

The patients admitted to the hospital on the third floor after the fire broke out in the mall were shifted to another hospital by ambulance.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said the cause of the fire was not yet known. “It’s the first time I’ve seen a hospital in a mall,” he said. The case will be prosecuted. They said 70 patients, including covid patients at the hospital, have been moved to another hospital.
22 fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene to contain the fire.
The fire shattered the windows of the building.
There have been accidents in Kovid hospitals before
The first fire broke out on November 27 last year at Kovid Hospital in Rajkot district of Gujarat. Five Corona patients died in the crash. The hospital was treating 33 corona patients. The cause of the fire was stated to be due to a short circuit in the machinery. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had ordered an inquiry into the matter.
On November 21 last year, a fire broke out in the ICU of the Kovid Center in Jayarogy, the largest hospital in Gwalior. Of the 9 patients admitted there, 2 had minor injuries. Two patients died in Afra Tafari due to fire. A ventilator also caught fire.
A fire at a hotel in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada on August 9 last year killed 10 people. The hotel was being used as a Covid-19 center. At the time of the incident, 40 patients were undergoing treatment here. There were also 10 people on the medical staff.
Three days earlier, on August 6, 2020, a fire broke out at Shreya Kovid Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Eight patients died in the accident. Which includes 5 men and 3 women. The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the hospital.
