According to The Wall Street Journal, the CBC paid the famous American host Oprah Winfrey (to buy the rights to broadcast the interview) for Rs 51 crore to Rs 65 crore for the interviews between Harry and Megan. However, Harry and Megan were not paid for the interview.



Oprah Winfrey, 67, is a talk show host, TV producer, actress, writer and philanthropist. According to Forbes, Oprah Winfrey owns Rs 19,700 crore. However, he was born into a poor family and initially his life was full of struggles.
