However, with the rising price of fuel it is also important to look at its average figure before buying an SUV. Here is an average of 5 popular mid-size SUVs including Creta, Duster available in the Indian market. Let's find out which car is better in terms of fuel efficiency.
1. Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta is available in three engine options. A 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter turbo-diesel and 1.4 liter turbo-petrol. The 1.5-liter petrol engine delivers an average of 16.8 kmpl with a 6-speed manual and 16.9 kmpl with a CVT. The 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine delivers an average of 21.4 kmpl with a 6-speed manual and 18.5 kmpl with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine only comes with a 7-speed DCT, giving an average of 16.8 kmpl.
