The United States will have its 46th president today. Democrat Joseph R. Biden Jr. i.e. Joe Biden (78) is about to be sworn in as President of the United States. The event is scheduled for Wednesday at 12 noon local time in the U.S. Capitol. The event will be held on Wednesday at 10.30 pm Indian time. Biden is to be sworn in in just 35 words. The ceremony will not be as grand as always this time. Crowds cannot gather because of the corona virus. This time only 1000 to 1200 people will be able to take part in the swearing in ceremony. Strict health protocol is maintained for each guest.
This will be the first time that a presidential swearing-in ceremony in the United States is likely to pose a threat to Americans. Violence erupted inside and outside the Capitol Hills on January 7 during the counting of electoral votes. At the time, Trump supporters stormed the U.S. House of Representatives and sabotaged it. So this time the American Security Agency is more vigilant.
Who will swear?
Biden will be sworn in by Chief Justice John B. Robert Jr. on the West Front of the Capitol Hills. President Biden will then deliver the inaugural speech. In this they will thank the American voters. The troop will be reviewed after the speech. Singer Lady Gaga will sing the National Anthem at the event. Jennifer Lopez will also give a musical performance at the event. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will then travel from the Capital Hills to the White House in a 'presidential escort'. Normally 3 lakh people stand on the road and watch this, but this time it will not happen.
Who will be the special guest?
Donald Trump is not going to attend the ceremony. He will be replaced by Vice President Mike Pence. Also present will be former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Alan Kamark, a fellow at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington, says the arrival of Pence is the most important thing. Pence wants to send a message to the people that the Republican Party is not limited to Trump.

Strict security arrangements
- 20 thousand soldiers have been deployed. The Secret Service is calling this a 'Zero Fail Mission'. That is, there should be no turmoil under any circumstances.
- Barricades and checkpoints have been set up in the Capital Hills under tight security. The entire parliament is surrounded by a fence 7 feet (approximately 2 meters) high.
- Roads near Capitol Hills have been closed. The National Park Service has recently closed the Washington Monument to tourists.
- Advanced Electronics Surveillance Alerts have been issued except for the Secret Service and the Federal Agency. This arrangement will continue for 30 days.
80% of the event Virtual
Bide said in December, this time the Innovation Day will be something different. Most of the events, including the parade, are going to be virtual. Different cultural programs are to be held in different capitals of the states. Local bands will perform in it. Front line workers who collided with the Covid-19 will also be remembered. Democrat MP James Kleiberg told the Sydney Morning Herald (SMG) - 75% to 80% of the event will be virtual.
Ceremony Committee Appeal - Watch the program from home
Millions of people attend the inauguration ceremony every time. Tickets for the Joint Congress Committee Ceremony are being offered. But those tickets are only for members of Congress and members of other parties. Ordinary people are not given tickets this time because of Corona. The committee has appealed to people to join the virtual event from home. The Presidential Inauguration Committee is to hold each event live.
Approximately 2 million people were passed by MPs from both houses of the US House of Representatives (Senate and House of Representatives) before just one guest with each MP . They were distributing the pass in their parliamentary constituency. This time only 2 tickets have been given to each MP. This means that only one guest can come with each MP (538 MPs in total).
During the 40 years that have elapsed
since then, an average of 1,612 words have been used between 1940 and 1980. Between 1980 and 2013, this speech averaged 2120 words. In 2013, Obama delivered a 20-minute speech. During this time he spoke approximately 2000 words.
The longest speech of
William Henry Harrison in 1841 was 1 hour and 45 minutes. That speech had 8445 words. He gave the speech to Harris in the cold without wearing a hat or coat and then developed pneumonia. He died a month after becoming president.
President George Washington's speech before the shortest speech. In 1793 only 135 words were used in this speech.
The first televised speech was made in
1949 by Harry S. Truman's speech was first aired on TV. At that time only 44,000 people in America had TV sets at home.
