The situation of farmers in the state is likely to worsen. The meteorological department has forecast thunderstorms in some parts of the state for the next three days. The unseasonal rains in the state had again raised the concerns of farmers. Due to which non-seasonal rains will occur in South Gujarat and North Gujarat from January 8 to 10. Rainfall is forecast in Dang, Tapi, Narmada and Dahod on January 8. Rainfall is forecast in Chhotaudepur, Navsari, Bharuch, Dahod on January 9 and Dahod Dang, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi on January 10. Mavthu will not happen in Ahmedabad but clouds will cover.
After one and a half inches of unseasonal rains in Dang district on Thursday, Valsad and Aravalli districts also saw the effects of Mawtha. The Umargam area of Valsad and its adjoining areas are getting cold due to rains.
