Until recently, recruitment was done by Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board. This new recruitment is to be done by Gujarat Police Recruitment Board. Its recruitment rules have also changed a lot. Only Thenar will be able to give a prelim.
The marks of the examination which will be given out of the same 50 as before will be decided on the basis of merit.
The syllabus has also been given in the new notification in which the main examination will also be taken after the prelim.
