Announcing the closure of RR Cell in the state police department, Chief Minister Rupani told a press conference here that the police department was now being equipped with more technology. It has been decided to close this RR cell which has been functioning since 1995 and strengthen it by giving more powers to the Superintendent of Police. Police collusion with criminals will not be carried out. Appropriate arrangements will be made for this through continuous surveillance. Cyber ​​police stations have been set up in the range area to control cyber crime and we plan to expand to district headquarters. Similarly, a state-wide network of cameras has been set up across the state to prevent criminals from fleeing after committing a crime, which is being monitored continuously in the police control room through a three-eye project.

The Chief Minister added that we also plan to install body cameras on the uniforms of the police personnel to ensure coordination between the police officers and the citizens of the state and to create a transparency between the two.

The accused, who was nabbed by the state's ATS, will soon be brought to Gujarat, whose interrogation will reveal how he set up a statewide oil theft network.
